Copyright
Firegirls uses many photographs, so the question of copyright is important. I try hard not to use images where copyright has been asserted. For example with jamd images. I don't have the resources to challenge Jamd (Getty's) assertions. Copyright for the original creative work of a photograph expires after 70 years - as Jamd did not take the original pictures, I remain unconvinced that they can assert ownership.
Where copyright statements are not made, I still respect the original source. There is always a link provided, to place the photograph in context, however limited that might be.
Some of the photographs on this site are "orphan" photographs - these are ones taken by an unknown photographer - and are often "home pictures". If you have any issues with the way I have used photographs, please contact me.
